My car just broke and I need something inexpensive but extremely reliable.
Where are there police auto auctions in the MD DC VA area?
Any ideas where I can get a car for less than $4,000 under 70,000 millage that is a 2004 and up?
(no ebay or craigslist)

You can sometimes find cars at good prices at police impound or seized-property auctions. These are cars that come from arrests of thieves and drug dealers. Some are junkers but others are luxury vehicles in great condition. These auctions are held monthly or quarterly and are announced in a local newspaper. You could call the police departments or newspapers to find out when and where the next auctions are to be held. Here's some more about it:

Look up local towing companies. These companies do a lot of selling of these cars. Can get a great deal, but look closely as a lot of junk gets impounded as well. Even try calling local repossession companies. They have a lot of cheap cars as well.
